Using Title I funds to support the community school approach allows the District to coordinate efforts with community partners to address the social, emotional, and academic needs of the whole child.
A Catalyst for Change
Title I dollars and other funding streams work together in concert to help all children.
Web accessibility refers to the practice of making sure that everyone, regardless of any kind of disability, can visit your site to use your services. The Title I website has been optimized for the following (most commonly used) screen readers:
Windows + Firefox or Chrome: NVDA (Free reader)
Mac + Safari: Voiceover (Built-in reader)
Android + Chrome: Talkback (Built-in reader)
iOS + Safari: Voiceover (Built-in reader)
Title 1, Part A programs ensure that all children have a fair, equal and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards and state academic assessments.
The NVDA screen reader can be downloaded free of charge by anyone.
Please note: NVDA is only available for PCs running Microsoft Windows 7 SP1 and later. If you require a version of NVDA that can still run on Windows XP or Vista, please download the much older NVDA 2017.3 for Windows XP instead. NV Access does not however recommend or support running this older version on newer Operating systems.
